[OTT뉴스=김지연 OTT 평론가] 지난 18일 첫 공개된 넷플릭스 오리지널 웹 예능 <솔로지옥>은 공개 전부터 한국판 <투 핫!>이 제작된다는 소식에 뜨거운 관심을 받았다.

넷플릭스 구독자라면 매력적인 청춘남녀를 모아 놓고 성적인 접촉을 할 때마다 상금에서 벌금이 차감되는 <투 핫!>에 대해 익히 알고 있을 것이다.

<솔로지옥>에서 해변을 배경으로 육체미를 뽐내는 매력적인 출연자들, 그리고 음성으로만 등장하는 진행자 '마스터'는 <투 핫!>을 연상시킨다.

◆ <투 핫!>과 얼마나 다를까

하지만 <솔로지옥>은 <투 핫!> 시리즈와는 많은 점이 다르다.

가장 큰 차이는 <투 핫!>의 가장 큰 정체성인 성적인 접촉을 금지하는 규칙과 이를 깨고 싶어 안달 난 참가자들의 모습이 사라졌다는 것이다.

그리고 지옥도와 천국도의 설정이 추가됐다.

<솔로지옥>의 출연자들은 무인도인 지옥도에서 열악한 생활을 해야 한다.

지옥도를 탈출해 최고급 호텔 스위트룸이 준비된 천국도로 갈 수 있는 방법은 단 하나, 상대방과 마음이 통해 커플 매칭에 성공하는 것이다.

기존의 설정과 많이 달라지긴 했지만 <솔로지옥>은 여전히 흥미롭다.

적극적이고 매력적인 출연진들과 유머러스한 리액션을 보여주는 MC들, 그리고 궁금증을 자극하는 제작진들의 규칙 구성 덕분에 자극적인 설정 없이도 흥미진진하게 볼 수 있다.

◆ 너무 과했던 한국 패치

그러나 <투 핫!> 시리즈와 비교해보면 <솔로지옥>은 '한국판 <투 핫!>'이라는 수식어가 무색하리만큼 아예 다른 콘텐츠 같은 느낌이다.

일단 <투 핫!>은 자극적인 설정과 수위 높은 장면으로 주목받은 콘텐츠로 오해하기 쉬우나, 계속 시청하다 보면 생각보다 섬세한 연출이 눈에 띈다.

가볍고 육체적인 관계만 추구했던 참가자들이 과거의 상처를 극복하고 진지한 관계를 쌓아나가는 성장 서사도 존재한다.

자극적인 설정 속 나름의 메시지와 감동 코드가 <투 핫!>만의 매력인 것이다.

물론 <투 핫!>의 초기 설정을 아예 그대로 가져오는 것은 보수적인 한국 정서에 맞지 않겠지만, <솔로지옥>은 너무 과한 한국 패치를 적용한 것 같아 아쉬움이 남는다.

'밥의 민족'인 한국인답게 밥 먹는 장면이 거의 절반을 차지하는 것도 대표적인 예다.

출연자들은 지옥도에서 힘들게 밥을 해 먹고, 천국도에선 룸서비스로 밥을 시켜 먹는다.

서로 교감을 나누고 진실한 관계를 쌓아나가는 모습보다 밥 먹는 장면이 더 빈번하게 등장한다.

무인도라는 배경은 그동안의 한국 연애 프로그램에서 보지 못했던 그림이라 새롭긴 하지만 너무 과한 변주로 <솔로지옥>은 그저 그런 수많은 연애 프로그램들과 비슷해졌다.

1월 1일 공개 예정인 5화에서 뉴페이스의 등장으로 기대를 모으고 있는 <솔로지옥>은 오직 넷플릭스에서만 시청이 가능하다.

Korean version of 'Too Hot!' 〈singles inferno〉, is it because the Korean patch was excessive?

Although it has changed a lot from the previous setting, "singles inferno" is still interesting.

◆ Korean patch that was too much

However, compared to the 〈Two Hot!〉 series, 〈singles inferno〉 feels like a completely different content to the extent that the modifier 'Korean version of 〈Two Hot!〉 is insignificant.

First of all, 〈Two Hot!〉 is easily misunderstood as content that drew attention for its provocative setting and high-level scenes, but as you continue to watch it, the delicate production catches your eye.

There is also a growth narrative in which the participants, who pursued only light and physical relationships, overcome the scars of the past and build a serious relationship.

Its own message and moving code in a stimulating setting are the charms of 〈Two Hot!〉.

Of course, bringing the initial settings of 〈Two Hot!〉 as it is would not fit the conservative Korean sentiment, but 〈singles inferno〉 seems to have applied excessive Korean patches.

A typical example is that almost half of the scene is eating rice, as Koreans, who are the 'people of rice'.

The performers work hard on the Hell Road, and on the Heavenly Road, they order food through room service.

The scene of eating rice appears more frequently than the appearance of communicating with each other and building a sincere relationship.

Thanks to the active and attractive cast members, the MCs who show humorous reactions, and the production team that stimulates curiosity, you can watch it in an exciting way even without provocative settings.

The background of an uninhabited island is a picture I haven't seen in any Korean dating programs so far, so it's new, but with too many variations, "singles inferno" has become similar to many other love programs.

<singles inferno>, which is expected to be released on January 1 with the appearance of the new face in episode 5, is only available on Netflix.

韓国版「Too Hot！」 <脱出おひとり島>、韓国パッチが過剰だったのだろうか？

去る18日初公開されたネットフリックスオリジナルウェブ芸能〈脱出おひとり島〉は、公開前から韓国版〈トゥ・ホット！〉が制作されるというニュースに熱い関心を受けた。

ネットフリックス購読者なら魅力的な青春男女を集めておいて性的な接触をするたびに賞金から罰金が差し引かれる〈トゥ・ホット！〉についてよく知っているだろう。

〈脱出おひとり島〉でビーチを背景に肉体美を披露する魅力的な出演者たち、そして声だけで登場する進行者『マスター』は〈ツーホット！〉を連想させる。

◆〈トゥハット！〉とどれくらい違うか

だが〈脱出おひとり島〉は〈ツーホット！〉シリーズとは多くの点が異なる。

最大の違いは、＜ツー・ホット！＞の最大のアイデンティティである性的な接触を禁止するルールと、これを破りたくて不満な参加者の姿が消えたということだ。

そして地獄島と天国道の設定が追加された。

〈脱出おひとり島〉の出演者たちは無人島である地獄島で劣悪な生活をしなければならない。

地獄島を脱出して最高級のホテルスイートルームが用意された天国道に行ける方法は、一つ、相手と心がカップルマッチングに成功することだ。

従来の設定とは大きく変わったが、〈脱出おひとり島〉は依然として興味深い。

◆過度すぎた韓国パッチ

しかし、〈トゥ・ホット！〉シリーズと比べてみると〈脱出おひとり島〉は、『韓国版『ツ・ホット！

いったん〈ツ・ホット！〉は刺激的な設定と水位の高いシーンで注目されたコンテンツで誤解しやすいが、ずっと視聴してみると思ったより繊細な演出が目立つ。

軽くて肉体的な関係だけを追求した参加者が過去の傷を克服し、真剣な関係を築いていく成長叙事詩も存在する。

刺激的な設定の中でそれなりのメッセージと感動コードが〈ツーホット！〉だけの魅力なのだ。

もちろん〈ツーホット！〉の初期設定をまさにそのまま持ってくるのは保守的な韓国情緒に合わないだろうが、〈脱出おひとり島〉はあまりにも過度な韓国パッチを適用したようで物足りなさが残る。

「米の民族」である韓国人らしくご飯食べる場面がほぼ半分を占めるのも代表的な例だ。

出演者たちは地獄島で辛くご飯をして食べ、天国道ではルームサービスでご飯をさせて食べる。

互いに交感を交わし、真の関係を築いていく姿より、ご飯食べる場面がより頻繁に登場する。

積極的で魅力的な出演者たちとユーモラスなリアクションを見せるMCたち、そして気がかりなことを刺激する制作陣のルール構成のおかげで刺激的な設定なしでも興味深く見ることができる。

無人島という背景はこれまでの韓国恋愛プログラムで見られなかった絵だと新鮮だが、あまりにも過度の変走で〈脱出おひとり島〉はただそんな数多くの恋愛プログラムと似ていた。

1月1日公開予定の5話でニューフェイスの登場で期待を集めている〈脱出おひとり島〉は、ネットフリックスだけで視聴が可能だ。
